Hey HN! Today we’re releasing interfaze-1.1-lite, an open-weight model for tasks with a deterministic answer: OCR, STT with speaker diarization, classification and more.Lite is a reasoning core plus a collection of specialist models (document reader, line detector, speech recognizer, segmentation). The core chooses the specialists to be executed and produces the answer in your JSON schema. The specialist models give you: bounding boxes, word timestamps and a confidence score per each line and word. The raw outputs are returned next to the answer so that you can filter based on that. E.g., post rows above 0.9 automatically and forward the rest to a human.Runs on a single 80 GB GPU (e.g. H100) without any additional services.Happy to answer any questions regarding the architecture, benchmarks and limitations.

The idea came to me while I was watching a livestream with Antirez and mr RIP, one of the first streams they did together. I thought Antirez might be right when he said that once AI agents moved beyond the terminal, we would reach a whole new level. So I decided to create "Veduta", which is basically Hermes/OpenClaw but with a UI. What exactly is the advantage? It could track everything for you and give you visual feedback without you actually having to ask the same questions again, because all the information is stored inside the daemon running on the server. Instead of having something that just runs, you have something that delivers "sheets with written reports that you can consult at any time." This translates into saving tokens and accessing information faster, while also keeping everything organized. I don't know if you'll appreciate this open-source project, but feel free to leave any kind of feedback. It's always welcome! :) Thanks, everyone!

Hacker News AI · 阅读原文Show HN: Geneva, a Rust FFmpeg CLI alternative with HTML/CSS graphics
I built this for my own use case, and I think other people could benefit from it.It's essentially a Rust rewrite of the ffmpeg CLI command, but with a modern API and good defaults + a native HTML/CSS composition engine that's been fine tuned for speed and memory efficiency. Under the hood, it still uses the libav* codecs from ffmpeg, so it can still work on a variety of formats.Works very well with AI agents too: prompt what kind or intro/animation/graphics you need (or give it a reference), let the LLM come up with the HTML/CSS for it (Opus 5.5 is quite good at this), and let it use them on geneva. It's way faster than the usual alternatives for putting still or animated graphics on videos (remotion, playwright etc.) because it doesn't use a browser or chromium. Everything is rendered natively, in a single pass.

Wired AI · 阅读原文Show HN: tsv has fast formatters and parsers for Svelte, TypeScript/JS, CSS
tsv is a set of performance-focused language tools. Today it ships formatters and parsers for TypeScript/JS, CSS, and Svelte, including a vscode/openvsx extension. JSON and HTML are planned, maybe linting after. The readme has a loose roadmap - https://github.com/fuzdev/tsvtsv's benchmarks show how the Web's newer native tools have some performance left on the table. Formatting TypeScript, tsv is more than twice as fast as oxfmt, and is smaller and uses less memory - https://tsv.fuz.dev/docs/benchmarksFrom the site:- Formatting TypeScript, tsv is ~2.2x faster than Oxfmt (native-vs-native), ~36x faster than Prettier (native Rust vs Prettier's JS; ~26x as wasm), and ~7.6x faster than Biome (wasm-vs-wasm) - Formatting Svelte, tsv is ~79x faster than Prettier (~55x as wasm) and ~10x faster than Biome (wasm-vs-wasm) - Formatting CSS, tsv is ~3.6x faster than Oxfmt (native-vs-native), ~111x faster than Prettier (~78x as wasm), and ~12x faster than Biome (wasm-vs-wasm)tsv is focused on the Web and Svelte, and doesn't support other nonstandard languages like JSX/TSX and SCSS. This limits possible adoption, but it keeps the tool slim and simple, and there are plenty of other tools that offer a generic language platform - tsv isn't trying to compete with them. Part of my motivation was being tired of slow tools and Svelte's second-class status in this next generation. Before starting the project, I had tried to build on Oxc and Biome, and ran into some discouraging edges. On the benchmarks' language support section, you'll see Oxc doesn't export its CSS parser (recently added, a fork of Raffia - https://github.com/g-plane/raffia), and Biome doesn't export its parsers. Also oxfmt doesn't ship wasm to the browser yet, and tsv's smaller footprint is useful there (Biome is 46.9 MB to tsv's 2.2).Parser conformance is as good or better than Oxc, Biome, and swc, except negative parser cases (errors), which are unfinished. https://tsv.fuz.dev/docs/conformanceThe codebase turns 1 year old at the end of the month. It's my first serious AI-generated project, built with Claude Code. I learned Rust in 2015, built some toys including an arcade action prototype, and followed its development over the years, but this is my first project since. tsv wouldn't exist without LLMs - it requires far too much labor for a side project.tsv leans heavily on Prettier, but doesn't copy it. This is why this production release took almost a year, despite the silly fast coding part. I made some different stylistic choices, more for Svelte than TypeScript, and fixed numerous quirks and bugs and documented them. tsv also takes advantage of Svelte 5's whitespace rules, which further diverged from HTML to trim leading whitespace in tags, fixing longstanding formatting warts - https://svelte.dev/docs/svelte/v5-migration-guide#Whitespace...The formatter takes no style config, and instead is hardcoded to Prettier's style with Svelte's config. (which has the uncommon trailingComma:none, but it's good enough for the Svelte team, and I want to defer the choice to them) Supporting Prettier's config would force significant costs on tsv for JS runtime integration, so instead I'm keeping the formatters simple and non-configurable instead of making all users pay those costs. One example of these costs can be see in the CLI benchmark (which is a fork of Oxc's official bench-formatter) - when tsv's binary is used directly instead of through Node, the single-repo CLI benchmark runs tsv 1.7x faster using less than half the memory.Next I'm exploring rearchitecting to Zig-inspired data-oriented parsing - https://mitchellh.com/zig/parser - which should get tsv closer to Yuku's speed, measured on the site. The vscode extension is `fuzdev.tsv-format` - https://marketplace.visualstudio.com/items?itemName=fuzdev.t... - and Open VSX - https://open-vsx.org/extension/fuzdev/tsv-formatRepo: https://github.com/fuzdev/tsv

I have been working on documents for last 5 years. Recently I realized I was using Confluence to structure execution notes, Notion for thoughts during meetings, Obsidian for quick local notes, and then reading back notes from Googles note taking apps. My colleague had the exact same problem. We had MCP connected to Claude, but there was no way to bring all of that into one place that was intuitive. So we built Mnemify. Which converted all our notes from every app to a 3D traversable terrain instead. We’ve been using it daily for last two months and found it useful so decided to share it.What it does: it harvests your sources into a local folder, then using your AI subscriptions compiles them into a 3D terrain you can traverse. Regions and peaks come from context, so related things end up adjacent from all your connected apps.We also have chat over the compiled graph that cites the exact source passages. You can also view time wise how the terrain was modified over time and see all your note higlights and action items in workspaces.Everything stays on your machine. It never writes back to any source. Models are bring your own: OpenAI, Claude (your claude CLI or a subscription), or a fully offline mode with an on-device embedding model.Currently supported sources: Confluence, Notion, Obsidian and local files. Daybot is ranked number two in Canada, after Shopify, for making e-commerce stores. With a lot of AI-generated stores like Daybot's, we ran into the issue of the CSS sometimes not being up to standard. For example, the text and the background might end up the same color. I've also seen that race conditions often happen on the client side and are never caught in test cases, because they aren't tested under load, or because clients sometimes do actions that are just random. With AI-generated code becoming more popular, we thought that an AI agent that runs in the browser at runtime, is very lightweight, catches bugs like race conditions, stops unintended behavior, and gets better the more users use it would completely change the game. Now you can even run code faster. So I want you to try it out. You can add it with one line. It's published as an npm package. Please let me know what you think.

Hacker News AI · 阅读原文Show HN: Pulse Local, a Mac budgeting app whose AI models run on your machine
Hi HN, I'm Niz. Pulse Local is a budgeting app for Mac (Apple Silicon, beta) that answers questions about your spending with models that run on your machine. Local mode needs no account. The ledger and your questions stay on the machine, and the app sends no analytics or crash logs.I felt there are not enough consumer apps that run locally with no calls to the outside world that help us manage sensitive corners of our lives. This app in its local variant only downloads a couple of models and occasional updates, it does not send any analytics nor data.Features-wise, Pulse local is a complete budgeting app that offers an assistant built on top of a fine-tuned model and thousands of rules embedded in the code itself. I'm sharing it for free with options to help me continue experimenting with fine-tuning and expanding along this direction. How it works: you import a CSV from any bank, in any currency. When you ask a question, a tuned Qwen3 0.6B model reads it into a structured query, and code, not the model, does the money math against the ledger. A 4B checker model double-checks each money answer; when the two readings disagree, the app says it is not sure instead of guessing. That change took wrong answers from about one in five to 5 in 494 questions across our last three tests. The write-up covers how we test, the designs that failed, and the limits of the claim: https://pulseos.finance/pulse-local/writing/agree-or-not-sur...The tuned weights are on Hugging Face (PulseOS/pulse-local-qwen3-0.6b).Limitations: the first start downloads about 2.9 GB of models. With the checker on, a money answer takes 12 to 14 seconds (you can turn the checker off). Small models can still misread an open-ended question. The app answers in English. Mac only for now; Windows is next. The app is free. An optional Connected mode (Sync Pass, $29/year) syncs US banks through Plaid; transactions pass through our server's memory and are not stored.Feedback welcome, especially on wrong answers and on questions it should handle but does not.

Existing benchmarks measure solve rate and token output/cost, but don't punish excess code, which makes a codebase harder to work with in the long term. I wanted to measure this since it matters most for long-term projects.Method: it takes the patches that benchmarks already publish (DeepSWE, SWE-bench Verified, SWE-bench Live) and counts "coding units": syntax elements like statements, calls, names and literals. I didn't use lines of code, so cramming code isn't rewarded. Deleted code is subtracted, so it measures net units.GPT-6 and Claude 5.5 have no public patches yet, so I ran them myself on 3–10 tasks on my own subscriptions (shown as faded circles, not ranked).Any feedback or model contributions are welcome, especially public patch exports for newer models.GitHub: https://github.com/La5u/ParsimonyNot affiliated with any of the benchmarks.

There are free tools but their ux is not at that level. So i built my own simple ssh client with a little bit of my taste added, it has vault, password manager, repo sync, background gallery etc.I have been working with rust on my hobby projects about 2-3 years and really got headaches from it, because its really hard to maintain features on rust project while fighting the borrow checker. Now with claude and some llm tools its very easy to build things, even some of the code written by agents is still slop but its fine to live with some slop. The main parts are modified from well written software.Instead of cheap copying or writing from scratch, i copied from real world solutions with apache or mit license, well maintained and well written software that has almost no ai slop. With some amateur level rust knowledge and some inspiration projects its really easy to build such low memory software, it only takes 85-125mb with wallpaper, mostly 80mb ram. Here's the repo https://github.com/your-moon/tern any feedback and feature requests are welcome, i gladly answer

You can approve every command and edit it before it runs, let a model you pick approve the safe ones, or turn approval off. Files it changes show a diff you can undo. It works with any OpenAI-compatible or Anthropic API, local models included, and supports skills and MCP servers.Sync doesn't go through a server of mine. Hatoba deploys a Worker and a D1 database to your own Cloudflare account and syncs hosts, keys and AI conversations through them. The free plan usually covers personal use. Everything is encrypted on the device before it leaves. Keys are derived from your master password with Argon2id, every item is encrypted with AES-256-GCM, and the Worker only stores ciphertext plus the hashes it needs to sign you in. Someone who gets hold of the whole Cloudflare account still only gets ciphertext. Sync is optional, and everything works offline without it.The usual SSH client features are there too: groups, tags and fuzzy search, ~/.ssh/config import, ProxyJump and SOCKS5/HTTP proxies, an SFTP panel, local port forwarding, and a key vault that imports OpenSSH, PEM and PuTTY keys. There's also a dashboard showing CPU, memory, disk and network for every saved host, read over plain SSH with nothing installed on the servers. SSH is russh, the terminal is xterm.js with the WebGL renderer, and the UI is React.I develop on Windows, so it's Windows first, with a custom title bar that supports Snap Layouts and Mica, and working CJK input methods. The Linux packages and the macOS build get far less testing on real machines. The macOS build is Apple Silicon only and isn't notarized, so macOS blocks it on first launch until you allow it in Privacy & Security. Bug reports from Linux and Mac users would help the most.Website: https://hatoba.fog.moe Downloads: https://hatoba.fog.moe/download/

Hacker News AI · 阅读原文Show HN: Mac Markdown reader for your AI agents
Hi HN, I'm Kirill.A dozen coding agents running in parallel, producing walls of suggestions, comments and ideas, all at once, all crammed into 88 columns of terminal scrollback, all gone the moment you run the next command. Does this sound familiar?FolderMd (https://foldermd.com) might be for you. It's free, and it's fast, and your agents can use it. I made it because I just couldn't handle it anymore. It's a small Mac app that gives those documents a home. Agents read our explainer and then learn to write markdown into a .foldermd/, instead of writing it into the terminal. FolderMD then opens each one instantly and renders it like a book: real typography, syntax-highlighted code, Mermaid diagrams, light and dark mode. You can edit a doc and save it, you can then add comments just like you would in Google Doc, and pass those comments to the agent.Let me know what you think, and if you want to see any features, and improvements. Thanks! -K.

The post goes through how that worked, and through the technical parts I found the most fun:- a 2048x2048 world that is never stored: terrain is computed from (x, y), only the player's changes are kept in a hash table - night done by changing the 256-color palette instead of redrawing the screen - power grids and pipes computed per network with union-find (there is a small step-by-step animation in the post) - trains with schedules, block signals and pathfinding, plus redstone-like logic gates - a headless Mac build of the game with a text interface, so AI agents could play ~470 test sessions and even help balance the gameYou can download the ROM (English and French) and play it on a flashcart or in melonDS.

Hacker News AI · 阅读原文ChunkAct: Action Chunking for Agentic Robotics
Agentic robotics places a large language model (LLM) agent in the robot control loop, where it composes perception, motion, and vision-language-action (VLA) tools under the guidance of a memory and thereby generalizes to new tasks without retraining. This generality comes at a steep price in efficiency. Every primitive requires a round of LLM reasoning over the full interaction history, so the cost of an episode grows with the number of primitives. We find this reasoning largely redundant: once a sub-goal is chosen, its primitives follow a routine already prescribed by memory. We present ChunkAct, which introduces action chunking to agentic robotics. Online, a single call launches a chunk of chained primitives, which executes autonomously and returns control only upon failure. Offline, ChunkAct compiles the memory into these chunks, so execution is memory-free at test time and the planner is reserved for decisions that require reasoning. LLM computation therefore scales with the number of decisions rather than the number of primitives. On LIBERO-Pro, ChunkAct improves task success by 5.0 points over the state of the art in agentic robotics while requiring 2.9x fewer LLM calls, 4.4x fewer input tokens, and 2.3x fewer output tokens.
arXiv AI · 阅读原文What Matters in Quality-Aware VLA Pretraining: A Benchmark and Empirical Study
How should demonstration quality be used during vision-language-action (VLA) pretraining to improve performance after target-task fine-tuning? We compare weighting, filtering, and conditioning across reward definitions and label granularities using 5,000 naturally suboptimal human demonstrations and 24 target tasks. Within each VLA, we match demonstrations and training budgets. Additional comparisons examine pretraining data size and the roles of quality tags during fine-tuning and inference. Across three VLAs, we find that approach-aware episode conditioning improves mean success over plain behavioral cloning; conditioning and filtering favor episode and chunk labels, respectively, on average, with model-dependent reversals; and constant-tag fine-tuning improves mean success after conditioned pretraining with either tagged or untagged inference. We introduce AXIS-Bench to support these controlled comparisons. Built on crowdsourced simulation demonstrations, it provides recorded object and contact states for recomputing quality labels on shared trajectories. Replayable trajectories support workspace-aligned rendering and user-defined real-world target tasks. In our real-world experiment, simulation pretraining raises success from 9.6\% to 31.7\%. arXiv AI · 阅读原文Tev: Scaling Long-Horizon Agentic Environments with Dense Progress Rewards
Long-horizon agents have drawn growing attention for their ability to work autonomously -- from hours to days -- on economically valuable tasks, a capability essential to automated discovery and recursive self-improvement (RSI). Yet open-source models still struggle on long-horizon tasks, largely for lack of both training data and a working recipe, and scaling both is hard: long, complex tasks are difficult to curate and verify, and their rewards are sparse. We address both. First, we introduce Tev-Gym, the first long-horizon agent training dataset with verifiable, dense, progressive rewards -- 1,170 verified task environments across 7 domains. It is built on a latent-world-first approach that first constructs a latent world: a complete and correct hidden specification of the task domain, workflow, and expected state after each step. Each task is then progressively rendered from this specification into an agent-facing environment, enabling controllable complexity and a natural progress metric. Second, we turn this metric into a training recipe: via progress-potential reward shaping (PPRS), we convert progress into a dense per-step reward that improves training efficiency and makes otherwise-intractable tasks trainable. Training with this recipe yields Tev-27B, which achieves substantial gains on the Agents' Last Exam computing and math sciences domains (ALE-CM), matching GPT-6 Astra and Claude Opus 5 at Pass@5. Despite training only on ALE-related data, it generalizes to the Terminal-Bench (TB) 3.0 and 4.0 subsets, surpassing GLM 5.2 and Gemini 3.7 Flash, and reaches Claude Opus 4.8-level performance on middle-horizon tasks such as TB 2.1.
arXiv AI · 阅读原文DoubtLess: Training-Free Contrastive Decoding for Efficient Reasoning
Reasoning models achieve strong performance through long chains of thought (CoT), but often spend more tokens than needed to solve a problem. Existing ways to shorten the CoT require additional training for each model, add a fixed steering vector to the model's hidden states, or use decoding heuristics such as stopping early or banning words like "wait", which can reduce accuracy. We propose DoubtLess, a training-free decoding method in which a much smaller reasoning model steers the large one towards brevity. The small model reads the large model's CoT so far twice, once prompted to be brief (the brief thinker) and once prompted to be verbose (the verbose thinker), and the difference between its two logit vectors, scaled by a strength, is added to the large model's logits at every step of the CoT. On seven benchmarks of competition mathematics, graduate-level science and competitive programming, DoubtLess shortens the CoT of Qwen3-32B by 31% with unchanged accuracy, outperforming five inference-time baselines. We also show that DoubtLess reduces thinking tokens per turn by 20% in a self-debugging coding agent with unchanged task performance. It also generalizes to two other model families with unchanged accuracy. When combined with training-based compression, it further shortens the CoT of a model already trained for brevity. Ablations and behavioral analysis show that DoubtLess reduces repeated checking, with most token savings coming after the correct answer first appears in the CoT. Our code is available at https://github.com/leoluolol/DoubtLess.
arXiv AI · 阅读原文AesCode: Aesthetic Code Generation with Decoupled Cross-Modal Rewards
Generating information-rich visual artifacts such as slides, posters, and dashboards as code is appealing because the outputs are structured, editable, and verifiable. Yet code models cannot see how their choices of layout and color come together on the canvas, often limiting spatial planning and aesthetic quality. Image generators excel at visual design but can misrender requested content, making their outputs unreliable targets for direct reproduction. We therefore introduce AesCode, which generates code grounded in the content prompt while using an image generated from the same prompt as an aesthetic guidance. To do so, AesCode represents the target as a design graph that describes the whole canvas and makes each property attributable. From this graph, we derive complementary cross-modal rewards: deterministic verifiers score properties parsable from code and rendering, while a VLM judge assesses the non-parsable ones with a sample-specific Visual Graph Rubric (VGR) tied to graph elements and relations. We optimize these decoupled rewards through reinforcement learning with per-channel normalization to jointly improve spatial planning, aesthetic quality, and verifiable correctness. To evaluate this setting, we build a benchmark that scores verifiable correctness and visual quality separately, with visual scores highly consistent with human judgments. We find that reference images substantially improve the visual quality of code generated by existing models, and ablations show that AesCode benefits from references both as model input and as a source of visual rewards. Relative to same-scale Qwen3-VL baselines given the same references, AesCode-8B and AesCode-32B improve visual quality by 31.1 and 22.4 percentage points, reaching scores comparable to those of closed-source frontier models such as GPT-5.5 and Claude Opus 4.8.
arXiv AI · 阅读原文Hybrid Reasoning Agents
How can we build an agent that thinks beyond human language, yet still acts through it in the external environment? Modern LLM agents still reason and interact through text, while latent reasoning offers an efficient internal medium but lacks native tool access and reasoning transparency. We bridge these two directions with Hybrid Reasoning Agents (HybridAgents), which dynamically navigate between latent reasoning and text-based interaction throughout a unified generation process. Architecturally, a lightweight HybridLink enables seamless transitions between text and latent modes, while the agent's continuous working memory preserves lossless hybrid context across multiple turns. These designs preserve tool-integrated agentic capabilities while making latent thoughts directly inspectable. Building on this architecture, we further develop dedicated post-training algorithms for hybrid reasoning: HybridSFT stabilizes tool-integrated hybrid generation by teaching the backbone to coordinate with HybridLink, then HybridRL scales reasoning by learning when to think in latent space and when to act through text. We evaluate HybridAgent at 3 model scales across 11 benchmarks covering mathematics, science, medicine, search, and agentic reasoning. Compared with frontier LLM Agents and agentic frameworks spanning both text-based and latent methods, HybridAgent consistently improves performance by 10.4%, while delivering 35.5%-54.7% token reduction, 1.8x-2.6x faster inference, and 2.7x-3.7x cost savings. Code and data are available at https://github.com/togethercomputer/HybridAgent.
arXiv AI · 阅读原文Two Clocks: Why Larger Rollout Batches Learn Slower but Fail on Schedule in Reinforcement Learning with Verifiable Rewards
Reinforcement learning with verifiable rewards (RLVR) relies on costly model-generated responses, motivating larger rollout batches and square-root learning-rate scaling. Reported to approximately preserve progress per sample with one optimizer step per rollout, this rule is less understood in practical multi-step training. We develop a two-clock framework that separates the samples needed to make progress from those consumed before collapse. Under a local quadratic model, the square-root rule preserves first-order drift per sample but not progress: larger batches take fewer, longer updates and lose more to curvature, yielding a learning-rate-dependent critical batch beyond which sample efficiency degrades. A drift-threshold hypothesis predicts a complementary failure clock whose sample count remains approximately invariant along the square-root rule. Controlled GRPO experiments on Qwen2.5-Math-1.5B across a $16\times$ batch range support both predictions. Ratio clipping delays failure, especially for larger batches, but the progress gap persists without it. Widening the clip trades stability for a transient speed gain. The progress gap reappears on another dataset, a general-purpose checkpoint, and a 7B model. Finally, we use the two-clock framework to derive a simple multi-step RLVR schedule: start below the critical batch and switch to a larger batch before failure. Our code is available at: https://github.com/WinstonLiyt/two-clocks-rlvr.
arXiv AI · 阅读原文MFG: Multi-turn Feedback Guided Molecular Optimization
Multi-objective molecular optimization is a critical process in drug discovery that aims to modify a given molecule to simultaneously improve multiple properties while maintaining a similar overall structure. This process often requires iterative modifications guided by computational or experimental feedback. Recent large language model (LLM)-based methods have begun to explore this iterative approach; however, these methods are not explicitly trained to leverage such feedback, while existing approaches primarily focus on single-turn molecular optimization. To address this gap, we introduce Multi-turn Feedback Guided (MFG) molecular optimization, a reinforcement learning framework that trains an LLM to progressively optimize molecules using feedback from previous turns. MFG introduces a feedback vector capturing both property improvements and source molecule similarity, alongside a feedback-aligned reward function that promotes progressive improvement across turns. We apply MFG over $\text{GeLLM}^{3}\text{O}$, a state-of-the-art LLM model for multi-objective molecular optimization, evaluate $\text{GeLLM}^{3}\text{O-MFG}$ on ten multi-objective molecular optimization tasks. The results demonstrate that $\text{GeLLM}^{3}\text{O-MFG}$ achieves the highest average similarity-constrained success rate ($81.50%$), outperforming the base model $\text{GeLLM}^{3}\text{O}$ ($70.81%$).
arXiv AI · 阅读原文The Last Remote Sensing Model Built by Humans? Casting Any Earth Observation Task as Recursive Self-Improvement
Earth observation (EO) models are still built by hand. For each new task, experts design a training recipe and tune it against a benchmark. We show that this loop can be handed to an agent. Any verifiable task can be cast as a harness and a verifier, where the harness defines what the agent may use and the verifier defines what counts as success. Every EO task can be made verifiable, through labeled benchmarks, independent sensors, physical models or the repeated observation of the same place. Given only these two components, a general-purpose coding agent builds the EO model and improves it recursively on its own outputs. Settings long treated as separate research problems, from learning with a handful of labels to adapting across domains, become choices of harness and verifier. On four EO benchmarks spanning optical, SAR and multispectral time-series imagery, agent-built models surpass the state of the art and keep most of that accuracy from about 1% of the training labels. This establishes a new paradigm for EO, in which people design harnesses and verifiers and agents build the models, so EO models improve as agents do.
arXiv AI · 阅读原文LIBERO-RIG: A Hardware-Setup Robustness Benchmark for Vision-Language-Action Models
Robot policies are expected to generalize across deployment environments, including variations in the robot itself: cameras are bumped and remounted, calibrations drift, controllers run at different rates, and end-effector pads wear down. We present LIBERO-RIG, a benchmark that perturbs only the robot's hardware and setup while holding every LIBERO task fixed. The benchmark spans eleven perturbation axes, including camera mounting and optics, camera-to-arm calibration, actuation gain, control rate, proprioceptive noise, base pose, table height, and gripper pads. Each axis has five severity levels, yielding 210 conditions across the four LIBERO suites. We evaluate nine recent vision-language-action models using 500 episodes per condition and substantiate each finding with rigorous statistical tests. Pooled success falls from 0.932 to 0.767 at the middle severity and 0.509 at the highest severity. Performance degradation varies substantially across perturbation axes and action interfaces, and training on visual perturbations does not mitigate faults that leave camera images unchanged. We release the benchmark together with manifests specifying the fixed perturbation parameters for each episode.
